A5 Wagyu Skewers with Fall Harvest Salad

Upscale appetizers are a fantastic way to welcome guests to dinner. A5 Japanese Wagyu makes for a unique small dish that is sure to get everyone excited for what's to come. This appetizer is easily hand-held and guests can taste at their leisure. Serve your skewers with a simple, fall harvest salad and enjoy.

Ingredients

Fall Harvest Salad

  • 1 lb. mixed greens
  • ½  apple
  • ½ pear
  • ¼ cup walnuts
  • ¼ cup dried cranberries
  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
  • ¼ cup olive oil

Instructions

Skewers

  1. Allow the A5 wagyu steak cubes to defrost in the refrigerator for 24 hours.
  2. Place 4-5 steak cubes on each skewer.
  3. Salt and pepper each side of the skewer.
  4. Heat pan thoroughly to medium or medium high heat.
  5. Sear each side. Note A5 Wagyu will cook quickly, and will likely need less than 1 minute on each side.
  6. Allow the skewers to rest for at least 5 minutes prior to serving.

Fall Harvest Salad

  1. Add mixed greens to a large bowl and toss in balsamic vinegar and olive oil.
  2. Thinly slice ½ apple.
  3. Dice  ½ pear.
  4. Place apple, pear, walnuts, and cranberries in salad.
  5. Serve salad chilled.
